Putnam Townhouse Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn
A gut renovation and enlargement of a 2 story 1882 townhouse for a photographer. The program separates the house into upstairs living quarters and a downstairs office level, with the new extension creating a dining patio off the parlor kitchen and ample workspace on the ground floor. The project includes a concrete cast-in-place rear stair and living room bench, a pigmented rammed earth wall, new enlarged concrete openings in the rear brick facade, and new configurations and finishes throughout, including vintage marble counters, fumed oak floors, onyx bath tile, and hand-plastered wall surfaces.
